Knowshon Moreno out one month after knee surgery

We've gained a level of clarity in the mysterious case of Knowshon Moreno.

NFL Media's Albert Breer reported Monday the Miami Dolphins running back recently underwent arthroscopic knee surgery and will miss about a month, according to a team source.

ESPN's Adam Schefter had the first report. Word of Moreno's surgery comes on the same day it was learned that Dolphins center Mike Pouncey will be out at least three months after hip surgery.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Friday that Moreno's lack of activity during Dolphins minicamp was the product of lingering soreness in his left knee. Moreno was scheduled to see a doctor in Miami this week to learn more about the issue.

Moreno signed a one-year $3 million contract with the Dolphins this offseason, $1.25 million guaranteed. The Dolphins might be experiencing some significant buyer's remorse.

In the latest episode of the "Around The League Podcast," the heroes discuss the winners and losers of minicamp season.
