Knowshon Moreno has no timetable for return

Knowshon Moreno was expected to be sidelined for roughly a month when he underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in late June.

Now six weeks into his rehab, Moreno "sometimes still labors to walk, let alone run," according to The Miami Herald.

Still languishing on the physically unable to perform list while Lamar Miller threatens to run away with the starting job, Moreno emphasized Friday that he doesn't want to rush back only to encounter a setback.

Asked if he expects to participate in at least one preseason game, Moreno couldn't provide a firm answer.

"I don't know. I don't know. I really don't even know," Moreno told The Herald. "I just want to take each day one at a time. They have a schedule for me and they're just going to tell me every day what I have to do, and I just go out there and do it."

At this point, the question isn't whether Moreno can battle Miller for snaps entering the season. It's whether the Dolphins can count on him to contribute as a passing-down complement to Miller before October.
