Ravens coach John Harbaugh was the only team executive to speak about Ray Rice in the immediate aftermath of Rice's release and indefinite suspension Monday.
That changed Wednesday when owner Steve Bisciotti, general manager Ozzie Newsome and team president Dick Cass sat down for an extended interview with the Baltimore Sun.
"We all failed. I was kept abreast of every little thing that we were doing here," Bisciotti said.
The Ravens reiterated that they did not see the video of Ray Rice punching his wife in an Atlantic City elevator in February until it was released Monday. They stressed that they handled the situation poorly and vowed to do a better job on investigating legal matters with their players in the future.
Newsome, meanwhile, said Rice never told him a different version of what happened in February.
"What we saw on the video was what Ray said," Newsome said. "Ray didn't lie to me. He didn't lie to me."
