Matt Schaub remains stateside for the Oakland Raiders.
A team official confirmed to CSN Bay Area that the backup quarterback is in the United States, while his teammates spend the week preparing in London for their Wembley Stadium tilt with the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
NFL Media's Steve Wyche reported last week that Schaub left the team before Oakland's road game with the Patriots to be with his wife, who underwent emergency surgery related to her pregnancy.
Until the veteran passer returns, Matt McGloin rests in place as rookie Derek Carr's backup.
