Carson Palmer will miss a third consecutive game for the Arizona Cardinals.
The team announced Friday that Drew Stantonwill start at the Denver Broncoson Sunday.
Palmer didn't rule out returning to practice late this week even after coach Bruce Arians acknowledged that his quarterback had suffered a setback with the nerve issue in his throwing shoulder.
Although the Cardinals are not yet considering injured reserve with the designation to return, we are not counting on seeing Palmer back in the lineup for Week 6 versus the Washington Redskins.
Stanton will never match Palmer's arm and accuracy, but he has moved the offense by absorbing hits and taking chances down the field.
Even if the Broncos are a tough matchup, Stanton is in good hands going forward with offensive guru Arians pulling the strings.
