Jameis Winston threw for 297 yards and a touchdown and also ran for a score Saturday as Florida State coasted past Wake Forest 43-3.
Winston has thrown a TD pass in every game of his career, but he didn't connect for a score in this game until there was 9:40 remaining. That score gave the Seminoles a 40-3 lead.
Florida State (5-0) led just 13-3 at halftime before awakening in the second half.
Winston was 23-of-39; that's the second-most attempts in a game in his career, and the top three have come this season (40 in the opener against Oklahoma State and 38 last week against North Carolina State). Winston also threw an interception, giving him five for the season in four games; he threw 10 in 14 games last season.
Winston did a nice job of spreading the ball around, as he completed passes to 12 different receivers.
One negative is that FSU star wide receiver Rashad Greene did not play in the second half because he suffered a first-half concussion; he potentially could miss next week's game at Syracuse.
FSU sophomore kicker Roberto Aguayo kicked five field goals, including a 52-yarder; he now is 12-of-12 on the season.
