Giants' Odell Beckham set to make NFL debut

Odell Beckham Jr. will make his NFL debut for the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon against the Atlanta Falcons.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported on NFL GameDay First that the rookie receiver will play and the entire playbook will be open when he's on the field.

The Giants are being cautious with Beckham and might limit his play, but when he's out there the "full gamut of plays" is available, per Rapoport. Beckham knows the adjustments and fast-paced, no-huddle looks, so he won't slow the offense.

Eli Manning and the Giants' offense has been clicking the past three weeks, but Beckham won't upset the apple cart.

The rookie receiver was billed as a great route-runner who should add dynamic plays and take attention off of Victor Cruz.

To get a different perspective on Beckham, NFL Media's Kimberly Jones said on GameDay First that she talked to the wideout's former LSU teammate, Tyrann Mathieu.

Honey Badger described Beckham as quick, fast and a great route-runner with "hands like Larry Fitzgerald."

That is about as big a compliment as a receiver can receive.
