Caldwell on if Megatron will play: 'Miracles can happen'

On Friday, we found out what it would take for Calvin Johnson to play Sunday: a miracle.

Speaking to reporters, Lions coach Jim Caldwell said, "Miracles can happen," when asked about Megatron's availability, per the Detroit News.

Johnson has been dealing with an ankle injury that caused him to miss a Week 6 game and play decoy in two others this season. The receiver is questionable for this weekend's game. With a trip to London coming next week followed by a bye, it's becoming a stronger possibility that Megatron will sit until Week 10.

Meanwhile, tight end Eric Ebron is doubtful for Week 7 with a hamstring injury.

Staring down a matchup with the potentially explosive New Orleans Saints this week, Matthew Stafford will lean on Golden Tate again, but will need to manufacture a second and third fiddle where none is apparent. Expect a lot of Joique Bell and Reggie Bushon Sunday for Detroit.
