The surging Dallas Cowboys are about to add another pass rusher to the mix.
Coach Jason Garrett told reporters Saturday that second-round defensive end Demarcus Lawrence is expected to be activated in time for the team's Week 9 meeting with the Arizona Cardinals, per ESPN.com's Calvin Watkins.
The No. 34 overall pick out of Boise State was placed on IR-Recall after breaking his right foot at practice in July.
Lawrence has the chance to make an immediate impact for Dallas. Despite the team's 6-1 record, the Cowboys have just seven sacks on the year, ranking them 27th in the NFL.
Once healthy, the rookie is a lock to see snaps as a pass-rushing specialist behind Jeremy Mincey and Tyrone Crawford. With George Selvie and Anthony Spencer in the mix, Lawrence will have time to develop as Dallas preps for its playoff push.
