Mike Wallacesigned a lucrative contract back in 2013 with the promise that he would head down to Miami and be the established deep threat the team so desperately needed.
More than a year later, Wallace is still waiting for that opportunity.
Despite having five touchdown catches already, the former Steeler hasn't cracked 100 yards yet this season and has had fewer than 60 yards in three of his last four games, which prompted him to say this on Tuesday, on the heels of another dismal offensive performance against Jacksonville:
"We didn't do nothing," Wallace told reporters. "Our offense was (expletive). We've got to do better."
According to The Miami Herald, Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill has hit on just seven passes of 20 yards or more this season. He's attempted more than 20.
"That's what I do; I'm built for that," Wallace said, continuing to show some visible signs of frustration.
Though he must have expected some growing pains after leaving Pittsburgh to play with an unestablished quarterback, it certainly seems like frustration is mounting for Wallace. Who will end up paying the biggest price? Wallace or Tannehill?
