After watching his Eagles get clipped 53-20 by the Packers on Sunday, wideout Jeremy Maclin says Philly wasn't good enough to beat anyone.
Not even the Raiders.
"It's the National Football League, man," Maclin said after the loss, per CSN Bay Area. "The way we played today, it wouldn't matter if we played Oakland, who hasn't won a game yet. They would have beat the hell out of us, too. We just didn't play well."
The 53 points Philly allowed marked the most by the organization since 1972. The contest exposed Chip Kelly's 24th-ranked defense, but the beatdown had more to do with Green Bay's white-hot offense.
The Packers have emerged as the conference's team to beat as they feed off an MVP-level season from Aaron Rodgers. As we mentioned on the podcast, Green Bay has the chance to make a mockery of the NFC playoffs if this squad seizes homefield advantage.
We still like Philly's chances against the winless Raiders, but they have plenty of work to do if they hope to hang with the Pack in a potential postseason rematch.
