The Ravens added injury to insult to Ben Roethlisberger late in Baltimore's 30-17 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday night. He left the game briefly in the fourth quarter before returning to throw a game-crushing interception in the end zone.
"Yeah, just like a little whiplash on my neck, I was just kinda laying down there and wanted to make sure I could feel everything. It was more just whiplash on my neck. Right now it feels OK, I'll probably be sore tomorrow," Roethlisberger said after the game.
While the Steelers moved the ball well all night, they couldn't finish drives. The Ravens front seven was consistently in Pittsburgh's backfield, racking up seven tackles for loss and five sacks. This was Roethlisberger's best regular season, but the Steelers ultimately looked like a one-dimensional team.
Without Le'Veon Bell, their offense wasn't balanced. More importantly, the defense gave up 30 points in Baltimore's first eight drives. Roethlisberger said it was his fault they lost the game, but this Steelers defense was the biggest pain in Pittsburgh all season.
