Falcons land former Bucs pass-rusher Adrian Clayborn

The Atlanta Falcons desperately need pass rushers, a problem they addressed during a busy Thursday in the NFL.

The team announced that they have agreed to terms with free-agent defensive end Adrian Clayborn.

Clayborn, 26, ranked 77th on our list of the "Top 101 NFL free agents for 2015" after spending the past four seasons in Tampa Bay. A first-round pick in 2011, Clayborn played in just 36 games with the Bucs and never reached his potential in notching just 13 sacks off the edge. The hope is that Dan Quinn can help set Clayborn free inside a unit that desperately needs more pocket-disrupters.

Landing Clayborn likely ends Atlanta's interest in Titans free-agent pass rusher Derrick Morgan.

The Falcons also re-signed cornerback Phillip Adams, who made four starts for a disastrous secondary that finished dead last in the league in 2014. Hardly a prize-fighter in coverage, Adams will fight for a job in camp after floating around the NFL since 2010.
