NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah released the fourth edition of his mock draft on Wednesday and made some notable changes from the top to the bottom of the 2015 NFL Draft.
Here are five interesting changes from Jeremiah's previous mock draft:
1. Mariota heads to Chicago
Where Oregon QB Marcus Mariota will land is one of the top storylines in the draft, and Jeremiah sees an interesting scenario play out in which Mariota lands in Chicago to be, well, mentored by Jay Cutler.
Bears GM Ryan Pace said recently that Cutler would be the team's quarterback going forward, but perhaps Mariota's accuracy, athleticism and playmaking ability will make him hard to pass at No. 7 overall.
2. White and Cooper flip
Jeremiah has been extremely high on this year's top receivers, and his latest mock draft flips the order on his top two. Despite having a near man-crush on West Virginia's Kevin White, Jeremiah said he sees the Raiders going with Amari Cooper at No. 4 overall and White falling to the Rams at No. 10.
3. Waynes slips after free agency
Before free agency hit, Jeremiah had top cornerback Trae Waynes heading to the New York Jets with the sixth pick. After the team made a splash in free agency by signing Darrelle Revis, Jeremiah believes that's no longer in play, projecting the Jets to grab edge rusher Shane Ray.
That leads to Waynes slipping down the board to the Dolphins at No. 14.
4. Parker reunites with Bridgewater
Jeremiah sees a bit of an early run on the elite pass-catchers, with Cooper, White, and Louisville's DeVante Parker all off the board by No. 11. That results in Parker reuniting with former quarterback Teddy Bridgewater in Minnesota and the Browns missing out on an elite receiver one selection behind them.
As a result of Arizona State's Jaelen Strong being taken by Houston at No. 16, that means the Browns would miss out on all of the top receivers in the draft; it's doubtful they'd take a chance on Dorial Green-Beckham, given his off-the-field issues.
Jeremiah instead sees the Browns upgrade in the trenches with Washington DT Danny Shelton and Miami's Ereck Flowers being their two picks in the first round.
5. Dupree makes a move
Kentucky edge rusher Bud Dupree was another big mover up the board in Jeremiah's latest mock. After previously hovering in the back half of the first round, Dupree sneaks into the top 15 and lands with New Orleans at the No. 13 pick.
There's no question that would be a boost to Rob Ryan's defense even if, as Jeremiah said, Dupree is a little raw.
