Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti told reporters on a conference call Wednesday that the team isn't giving up hope that Dennis Pitta will make it back to the field.
Pitta missed most of 2014 after suffering his second hip fracture and dislocation in as many years. It's a chronic ailment that could mean the end of the road for the 29-year-old former fourth-round pick.
"I'm praying that Dennis comes back and he's healthy enough and they come to a solution and he feels comfortable," Bisciotti said, according to The Baltimore Sun.
The owner also praised 2014 third-round pick Crockett Gillmore, coming off a quiet rookie season. If Pitta doesn't return, the Ravens might look to add a veteran to supplement what could be the youngest tight end group in football.
