Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota are easily two of the most debated players when it comes to the 2015 NFL Draft.
While some, such as NFL Media analyst Mike Mayock, have Mariota ranked slightly ahead of Winston, it's easy to lose sight of the fact that -- rankings aside -- each is a pretty good quarterback.
It remains to be seen who ends up having the better career, but it seems some scouts and front office personnel can agree on one thing: they're each a top-notch prospect at the position.
"I had a respected evaluator tell me earlier that these two quarterbacks are the best quarterback prospects they've seen since Andrew Luck," NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport said on NFL Network's "Path to the Draft."
Luck was widely viewed as the best quarterback prospect of his generation, and he's lived up to the hype in Indianapolis so far.
The comparison between Luck and 2015's top two quarterbacks is debatable, but it's a good indication of Mariota and Winston's value as top-five picks -- it would mean they are viewed as better prospects out of college than the likes of Robert Griffin III, Ryan Tannehill, Geno Smith, Johnny Manziel, Teddy Bridgewater, and a host of others.
Mariota and Winston have been busy traveling around the country for visits and workouts with teams. In addition to the Buccaneers, who have the No. 1 overall pick, teams such as the Tennessee Titans, New York Jets, and even the San Diego Chargers are all doing their homework on the consensus top two quarterbacks this year.
"They want to be prepared in case the Bucs shock everyone and take Marcus Mariota," Rapoport said. "For some of the other teams in the top 10, or even the San Diego Chargers. ... They are all plotting potential moves up in the draft in order to take a quarterback based on several scenarios on how things might work out or might not work out."
The presence of two elite signal-callers certainly could be the pretext for a wild first night of the draft.
