The SEC is the draft king. Again.
The SEC had 54 players selected in the 2015 NFL Draft, giving the league the most draftees for the ninth year in a row.
The ACC was second with 47 draftees, followed in order by the Pac-12 with 39, the Big Ten with 35, the Big 12 with 25, the FCS ranks with 17, the AAC with 11, the Mountain West with 10, Conference USA with six, the MAC with four, the Sun Belt with three, the independent and Division II ranks with two and the Division III ranks with one. (One thing to note: Wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham officially is listed as being from Missouri, not Oklahoma; he transferred to OU after being dismissed from the team at Mizzou but never played a game for the Sooners.)
The ACC and Pac-12 tied for the most first-round picks, with nine each. The SEC had seven first-rounders, the Big Ten had three and the AAC and Big 12 had two each. This was the first time in five years that the SEC didn't have the most first-rounders.
Florida State, meanwhile, had the most draftees of any school, with 11. That gives FSU 29 draftees in the past three years, which is a record during the seven-round era. Miami (2002-04) and USC (2008-10) had been tied at 28. Second-most was Louisville with 10. Florida was third with eight, and Alabama and Miami (Fla.) tied for third with fourth with seven each.
