Thursday was a day LSU head coach Les Miles would like to forget.
Four Tigers football players, including quarterback Anthony Jennings, were among those arrested in Baton Rouge on Thursday, according to The Advocate.
Jennings was the team's starter under center for much of last season and was expected to do the same if he held off sophomore Brandon Harris for the job during fall camp.
LSU police declined to confirm the charges to the Advocate for Jennings and defensive lineman Maquedius Bain, but told the paper that defensive back Dwayne Thomas was booked on charges of unauthorized entry and simple burglary. The trio was booked not long after an incident Tuesday involving defensive tackle Trey Lealaimatafao, who was arrested for simple battery and simple robbery in a incident stemming from a fight at a local bar.
Athletic department spokesman Michael Bonnette told reporters Lealaimatafao has already been suspended indefinitely from the team but did not have a comment on Jennings, Thomas and Bain. According to the report, Lealaimatafao's arrest was his third off-the-field incident and second arrest in the past year.
In addition to Jennings, Thomas was expected to be a starter at cornerback in 2015 for LSU. Both Bain and Lealaimatafao were backups last season.
