The field of candidates to replace Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback, and the No. 1 overall selection in the 2015 NFL Draft, Jameis Winston at Florida State might have just thinned by one.

FSU freshman quarterback De'Andre Johnson has been accused of punching a woman at a bar Wednesday night, according to a report on ESPN.com, and has been indefinitely suspended from the team. The school has only confirmed that Johnson was suspended for a violation of athletic department policy, according to the Tallahassee Democrat, and Johnson has yet to be charged with a crime, according to the report on ESPN.com. The woman declined comment and further medical treatment after being treated at the scene.

Johnson (6-foot-1, 177 pounds) is an incoming freshman from Jacksonville (Fla.) First Coast High. He enrolled at FSU in January and competed in spring practice.

The favorite to replace Winston as FSU's starter is incoming transfer Everett Golson of Notre Dame, or Sean Maguire. Maguire completed 22 of 44 passes for 289 yards in FSU's Garnet and Gold spring game, but threw two interceptions.
