Guess it beats the always awkward fiddling around with hats that typically coincides with a high-prized recruit finally selecting the college football program fortunate enough to land said player.
Still, this falls under the gratuitous "look at me" culture that percolates in the college football recruit commitment scene.
Parker Boudreaux, a four-star recruit (per 247Sports.com) at offensive guard, is entering his senior season at Bishop Moore Catholic High School in Orlando, Fla. It appears he's spent his summer vacation deciding between schools such as Clemson, Florida, Oklahoma and Notre Dame, and preparing to make a grandiose hype-video announcement.
Which he did, by pulling a 16,000-pound bus.
(SPOILER ALERT: He's going to Notre Dame).
According to 247Sports.com, Boudreaux is the ninth-rated high school offensive guard prospect and the 28th-rated player in the state of Florida. He had offers from 70 schools, the most-offered 2016 recruit, according to Bleacher Report.
In other recruiting news Thursday, Centennial High (of Corona, Calif.) cornerback Camryn Bynum committed to Cal and Centerville High (of Dayton, Ohio) dual-threat quarterback Jacob Harrison committed to Navy. We're still awaiting their hype videos to land on the Interwebs.
