McCarthy: Nelson 'looks like he hasn't missed a beat'

Jordy Nelson's offseason hip surgery is officially in the rear-view mirror.

The Packers' star wideout passed his physical Wednesday and drew praise from his coach on Thursday after avoiding Green Bay's active/PUP list to open camp.

"Jordy's so consistent," Mike McCarthy said, per ESPN's Rob Demovsky. "Looks like he hasn't missed a beat."

It's not a major surprise after Nelson participated in drills last month and told reporters he would be "ready to go" for July practices.

With Nelson healthy, Green Bay enters the season with a legitimate shot at breaking all sorts of records on offense in 2015. The combination of Nelson, Randall Cobb and Making the Leap fireballDavante Adams arguably forms the top receiving trio in the NFL.

With Eddie Lacy in the backfield and the world's finest quarterback in Aaron Rodgers under center, we see Green Bay as the frontrunner for a Super Bowl appearance if Nelson and friends can stay on the field.
