Buffalo Bills suspend Aaron Kromer six games

The Buffalo Bills suspended offensive line coach Aaron Kromer for the first six games of the 2015 season, the team announced Sunday.

The Bills were investigating the arrest of Kromer for allegedly punching a teenage boy in the face last month for using his beach chairs in Florida. Kromer had been placed on indefinite paid administrative leave stemming from the arrest for assault and battery. According to a statement from prosecutors obtained by the Associated Press on Friday, the boy's parents requested charges be dropped to prevent further disruption to their lives.

"Over the past several weeks the Bills organization has gathered information regarding the incident," Bills president Russ Brandon said in a statement released through the team. "We worked in conjunction with the NFL on this matter and we are highly supportive of the NFL Personal Conduct Policy that holds all NFL and club employees to a higher standard. ... We look forward to coach Kromer rejoining the Bills organization at training camp."

Kromer's suspension will begin Sept. 7 and end with the conclusion of the Bills-Bengals game on Oct. 18.

The 48-year-old joined the Bills in January after spending two seasons as the Chicago Bears' offensive coordinator.
