The Giants dodged a major blow Sunday night.
Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. left their game against the 49ers with a hamstring injury and nearly missed the team's final drive. However, Beckham returned with less than two minutes to play to help New York rally past San Francisco for a 30-27 win. He left the game after compiling 121 yards and a touchdown.
Soon after, wide receiver Reuben Randle was also ruled out with a hamstring injury.
Coach Tom Coughlin told the media after the game that Beckham felt "a little tug in his hamstring." Coughlin added that he doesn't think Beckham pulled it on his elaborate touchdown celebration and that the team will know more about the injury on Monday.
Beckham said that any absence from the field "won't be long at all" and that he felt his hamstring pull "five or six plays" before his touchdown.
Eli Manning's offense is already without wide receiver Victor Cruz, who hasn't played a snap all season with a calf issue, and tight end Daniel Fells, who is battling a MRSA infection.
Beckham has a history of hamstring injuries; he missed the beginning of his rookie season because of one.
