Embattled Cowboys quarterback Matt Cassel will be without one of his offensive weapons for a while.
Running back Joseph Randle is day-to-day with an oblique strain he suffered in Sunday's loss to the Giants, coach Jason Garrett told the media.
In Randle's absence, Darren McFadden had a season-high 152 rushing yards and carried the load for Dallas all afternoon long.
However, the Cowboys will need a stable running game the next few weeks to get back into the NFC East race and help out Cassel, who struggled as the lead backup on Sunday. Without Randle, that will be easier said than done.
Garrett added that wide receiver Dez Bryant (foot) remains day-to-day. The team will evaluate him as the week goes, but have been encouraged by his workouts recently.
Here is some other injury news we're tracking Monday:

Also, rookie linebacker Denzel Perryman strained his bicep muscle, Rapoport added, per a source informed of his injury.

Kelly added that left tackle Jason Petersshould be good to go when the Eagles reconvene for training following the bye. Peters was carted off the field with a lower back injury against the Panthers.
- Packers wide receiver Davante Adams (ankle) should suit up for Green Bay's Sunday night matchup with the Broncos, coach Mike McCarthy told the media.
