Part of Packers' struggles are attributed to their various injuries on offense and defense. But their chief concern is franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice. The team noted that the quarterback has a right shoulder injury.
Mike McCarthy and Rodgers both downplayed the significance of the injury after practice. However, Rodgers did admit that he's a little banged up. He is expected to play on Sunday when the Packers face the NFC North leading Minnesota Vikings.
"I'm just going to keep playing the way I'm playing. Hopefully I'll be a little more efficient this week and sustain drives (and) score touchdowns in the red zone," Rodgers said on Wednesday.
While Green Bay supporters appear to be getting uneasy, through 10 weeks Rodgers has thrown 21 touchdown passes and only three interceptions -- resulting in a 103.4 QB rating. Most NFL quarterbacks can't do that with two healthy shoulders. The team is just one game back from the division lead and will almost certainly be playing playoff football come January.
