Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler will have his two most valuable weapons back in the lineup as he attempts to improve his 1-12 lifetime record versus the Green Bay Packers.
Starting running back Matt Forte and No. 1 receiver Alshon Jeffery are expected to play in Thursday's Thanksgiving night matchup after missing last week's 17-15 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Sidelined three weeks with a sprained MCL, Forte declared himself "good to go" after Tuesday's practice.
"I probably could have played last Sunday, but I might not have been able to play coming up this week if something would have happened," Forte said, via the Chicago Sun Times. "Time heals and stuff. Just a couple of extra days will help."
Battling groin and shoulder injuries, Jeffery says he feels "a lot better" than he felt last week.
Although the Bears and Packers have squared off 191 times since the early 1920s, Thursday will mark their first Thanksgiving Day affair.
Chicago will need the added firepower against a fired-up Green Bay squad honoring Brett Favre at Lambeau Field.
