Ohio State has confirmed defensive tackle Adolphus Washington was cited for solicitation on Wednesday night.
"Disciplinary action will be handled internally," OSU sports information director Jerry Emig told ABC6 News.
Emig said Washington has a Dec. 17 court date after receiving the misdemeanor citation.
The senior is regarded highly among an exiting group of Ohio State draft prospects that coach Urban Meyer described as an "exodus," including a group of underclassmen that have already begun making their intentions known.

Washington has accepted an invitation to the Reese's Senior Bowl, where NFL clubs conduct not only on-field drills in practice, but personal interviews of college football's top senior draft prospects, as well. Washington, if he indeed plays in the annual all-star game in Mobile, Ala., would no doubt have one of the more difficult interview sessions among 110 prospects.
Washington (6-foot-4, 290 pounds) has been highly active this season at the heart of the Buckeyes' defense, making four sacks and seven tackles for loss among 49 stops. OSU coach Urban Meyer told College Football 24/7 several weeks ago that Washington had outstanding potential as a pro prospect. The Buckeyes' run defense allowed just 127.3 yards per game, featuring five members of its front seven, including Washington, that were named first- or second-team All-Big Ten.
The Buckeyes (12-1) will play Notre Dame (10-2) in the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 1.
