Marshawn Lynch is playing in the Seahawks' Divisional Round tussle with the Carolina Panthers.
Lynch was listed as probable on the team's official injury report. Still, after not flying to Minnesota last weekend at the last minute, everyone has monitored Beast Mode's progress closely throughout the week -- it's gone so far that there was even play-by-play of the running back getting on the team flight to Charlotte this week.
Even with Lynch in the lineup, Carroll told Breer he'll monitor the back's abdomen injury closely.
"He's gotta feel right," Carroll said. "He's gotta be confident he can do all that crazy stuff that he does. And so we pushed him at practice and we're doing things that give him enough information so that he can be confident that his injury is behind him. He's worked hard, he's busted his ass and he cares and wants to do it. But he has to feel it.
"We can see it, see what he's doing and all that. But it's never gonna be the same as a game. He plays with such reckless abandon that he needs to be freed up and confident and ready to go. He's trying to prove that through the process of the week, and get that feeling."
Seahawks left tackle Russell Okung is doubtful to return to the game after suffering a left shoulder injury.
Here's a look at other injuries we are tracking Sunday:
- Defensive end Michael Bennett (toe) and tight end Luke Wilson (concussion) are active. They were both probable for Seahawks.
- Packers wideout Randall Cobb (bruised lung) tweeted Sunday morning that he has been discharged from the hospital.
