Antonio Cromartie expected to meet with Bills

After being cut by the New York Jets, Antonio Cromartie might only have to travel upstate to resume his playing career.

The veteran cornerback is expected to visit the Buffalo Bills, a source told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.

If the trip to Buffalo goes well he could be reunited with Rex Ryan.

Cromartie enjoyed some of his best years in the league as a Jet under Ryan's regime. He was one of Gang Green's best athletes during his initial stay with the team from 2010 to 2013, where the corner compiled 160 tackles, 51 passes defended and 13 interceptions.

For the past two years Cromartie's consistency has waned. Pro Football Focus gave Cromartie a negative season grade and ranked him 103rd among 118 cornerbacks in 2015.

The Jets released the 11-year-veteran this offseason in a salary cap dump.

Cromartie has 362 tackles, 114 passes defended and 31 interceptions in his career.
