New Orleans added a kicker.
Veteran Josh Scobee announced on Facebook on Friday that he signed with the Saints
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports the deal is for one year at the vet minimum.
Rapoport adds the kicker's injured hip flexor is 100 percent.
Scobee had a disastrous four games after being acquired by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2015, missing four field goals in 10 attempts and botching one extra point in seven tries, before being cut.
The 33-year-old kicker has a career 80.1 percent field goal percentage, including 60 percent last year.
The Saints kicking situation was shaky last season, with Sean Payton cutting Zach Hocker mid-way through the season. Kai Forbath, who took over, is a free agent. Expect New Orleans to add another kicker or three for an offseason competition.
