Weather forces pro days for three schools into Saints' facility

Inclement weather forced three New Orleans-area colleges to hold pro days at the New Orleans Saints' indoor facility on Thursday.

Representatives from 30 NFL teams were present for the workouts of Tulane, Nicholls State and Southeastern Louisiana. The workout was run on FieldTurf.

Check out the top prospects for the 2016 NFL Draft in action at their on-campus pro days.

Tulane

Five players from Tulane worked out, including two possible rookie free-agent pickups.

Safety Darion Monroe -- 5-foot-11, 197 pounds -- ran the 40-yard dash in 4.7 and 4.68 seconds. He had a 34 1/2-inch vertical jump and 9-foot-8 broad jump. He did the 20-yard short shuttle in 4.29 seconds and the three-cone in 6.9 seconds. He performed 15 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. Monroe had a really good workout. He was real smooth and that 6.9-second three-cone run shows he can change directions. Monroe is a free-agent candidate mainly because he lacks straight-ahead speed.

Offensive tackle Arturo Uzdavinis -- 6-4, 316 -- ran the 40 in 5.36 and 5.31 seconds. He had a 35-inch vertical and 9-foot-9 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.87 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.97 seconds. He put the bar up 16 times on the bench press.

Southeastern Louisiana

Southeastern Louisiana had nine players work out at its pro day, including one who was at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Cornerback Harlan Miller -- 6-0 1/8, 181 -- ran the 40 in 4.58 and 4.57 seconds. He had a 32-inch vertical and 9-foot-9 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.35 seconds and the three-cone in 7.1 seconds. He also performed four reps on the bench press. Miller is described as being very smooth with good change-of-direction ability. He also showed that he has good hands catching the ball.

Nicholls State

Nicholls State -- which is an FCS program -- had 13 players who worked out at the pro day, but did not possess any prospects who would qualify as a possible draft choice or rookie free-agent pickup.
