"Pot Roast" is heading to New England.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Thursday that Terrance Knighton is signing with the New England Patriots. It is a one-year deal worth $4.5 million, according to a source who has seen the deal. ESPN first reported the impending move.
Knighton used Twitter to offer a strong hint on his next destination.
Knighton had been talking with both the Pats and Redskins. The signing represents a nice consolation prize for the Patriots, who lost out on Nick Fairley when the former Lions defensive lineman signed with the Saints earlier this month.
Knighton was ranked No. 56 on Around The NFL's top 99 free agents.
