Another name has been added to the so-so draft record of Indianapolis general manager Ryan Grigson.
The Colts released their 2015 sixth-round pick Amarlo Herrera, the team announced Wednesday afternoon. Herrera played in three regular-season games for the team last season.
The pick to select the inside linebacker from Georgia was acquired from the Seahawks in exchange for cornerback Marcus Burley.
While the Colts' 2015 draft class hasn't been nearly as troublesome as the 2013 one (only one 2013 selection is still currently on the team, third-rounder Hugh Thornton), it didn't exactly blow anyone away in its debut campaign. The other sixth-round selection from that draft, running back Josh Robinson, is no longer listed on the Colts' active roster either.
The two mid-round defensive linemen from Stanford, third-round pick Henry Anderson and fifth-round pick David Parry, both were solid contributors. The rest of the group, including first-round wideout Phillip Dorsett, will need to step it up in Year 2.
