The ageless wonder and terrorizing linebacker with the dark-tinted visor isn't riding off into the sunset just yet.
More than two years after Harrison retired as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers and then was convinced to come out of retirement to rejoin the franchise, the 38-year-old linebacker didn't leave anyone hanging concerning his future in the moments after falling to New England 36-17 in the AFC title game.
"I'm not done yet," Harrison told reporters in the locker room after Pittsburgh's 36-17 loss.
The Kent State product who overcame going undrafted and being relegated to the practice squad has shown the world on multiple occasions that he takes pride in attempting to defy the odds. His latest opponent? Father Time.
Harrison posts videos of his workouts and maintains a large body-maintenance budget, which he says is in the $400,000 to $600,000 range. Just look at these military presses.
Harrison seems to have plenty left in the tank, recording 53 tackles, two forced fumbles and one interception in 2016. He's a widely respected and consistent force off the edge on a Steelers defense that desperately needed his presence, one that remains a major problem for opposing offensive lines (Exhibit A: Harrison vs. Eric Fisher in a major moment). Few things are more motivating for one more year (at least) than the bitter taste of defeat on the doorstep of the Super Bowl.
The Steelers won't be holding a victory parade through the Steel City in February, but they might want to throw a little shindig to celebrate the return of one of the franchise's greats.
