Logan Ryan is leaving New England and heading to Tennessee.
The former Patriots cornerback, who became expendable after news broke that the Pats are expected to land former Bills CB Stephon Gilmore in free agency, has agreed to terms with the Titans. Ryan is signing a three-year deal worth $30 million with Tennessee, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source informed of the situation.
"I have a history with Logan (Ryan) there in my time with New England," Titans general manager Jon Robinson said in a team statement. "He is a really smart football player that played a lot of different roles with the Patriots. He played outside corner and inside corner. He is an aggressive tackler, good run support player and savvy coverage player that has a knack at the top of the route and end of the route.
"He will be a nice addition to the secondary with all those guys we have coming back. I'm looking forward to him coming in and being a veteran guy and stepping up as a leader in the secondary and provide some good play for us."
Ryan started all but three games for the Patriots last season including their Super Bowl LI win over the Atlanta Falcons. The DB was rated No. 23 in NFL.com's top 101 free agents of 2017.
