Here's something Terrelle Pryor didn't have in Cleveland last season: A reliable quarterback throwing him the ball.
That's not the case anymore, though, after the passer-turned-wideout signed a one-year, $6 million contract with the Washington Redskins.
Pryor revealed this week that he's already spent time working with Kirk Cousins both on and off the field. Toiling away together in Florida this offseason, Pryor claimed to have caught all but a couple of the 200 passes thrown his way.
"It was about him getting my timing down," Pryor said, per ESPN's John Keim. "There were a couple routes I had to run a couple times because he's a timing thrower, and he throws it to spots. But we'll get there. When we get there (to Washington's first offseason voluntary workout) Monday, we'll go two or three times a week and work on that as well. I was eager. It was great to work with him and get to know him."
While the Redskins have been through the ringer this offseason -- and might not have either of these players on the roster a year from now -- the Pryor signing has potential. To cross the 1,000-yard barrier with the clown car of quarterbacks he dealt with in Cleveland is a genuine feat. Understandably, the idea of working with a clear starter in Cousins has Pryor seeing stars.
"That's how I knew me and him would click," Pryor said of their successful first meeting. "We're going to do well."
