Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio isn't worried about his first and second-round picks remaining unsigned and out of camp.
Neither Gareon Conley nor Obi Melifonwu reported to the team's training camp for rookie meetings, according to CSN Bay Area.
"These are issues that should get resolved shortly and they'll join the team," Del Rio told 95.7 The Game in San Francisco on Tuesday, via CSN Bay Area. "It's one of those situations where, years ago, ... those were issues. Holdouts could last the whole camp and into the season. The structure is in place now [with the NFL's rookie wage scale], and we expect these things to get resolved shortly and they'll be getting their work in."
A woman accused Conley of raping her at a downtown Cleveland hotel on April 9. The former Ohio State cornerback, who was drafted No. 24 overall by the Raiders this spring, has vehemently denied the accusation. He has not been charged or arrested and no warrant has been issued. The case remains "under investigation" by Cleveland police, per the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Conley met with Cleveland police in early May and told NFL Network's Steve Wyche at Raiders rookie minicamp "I don't know where things stand, but I know the [May 1] meeting with [Cleveland police] went well."
Conley is one of three remaining unsigned first-round picks from the 2017 class alongside San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Solomon Thomas and Tennessee Titans wideout Corey Davis. Melifonwu, a safety out of Connecticut, was a second-round selection for the Raiders.
