Jarvis Landry back running routes for Baker Mayfield

Jarvis Landry got in some summer work with Baker Mayfield ahead of training camp.

The Cleveland Browns receiver dispatched social media posts Monday of himself working out in California with Mayfield and several other Browns players, including Rashard Higgins and David Njoku.

On his Instagram story, Landry noted it's his "first time in 2 1/2 months running routes," as he stutter-stepped and came back to snatch the pigskin, looking uninhibited. Landry sat out of offseason workouts, including minicamp, with an undisclosed injury. His video indicates he's on pace to be back for training camp on July 24.

Mayfield, who will get married this weekend, made good on his promise to get Browns players together for some workouts before training camp opens. Given that several of his pass-catching corps, including Landry, didn't participate in all the workouts this spring, it doesn't hurt to get reps in for chemistry purposes, sans coaches.

Odell Beckham Jr., who was in and out of Cleveland this offseason, wasn't with his teammates in Los Angeles but posted his own workout videos displaying incredible footwork practice. Beckham previously said he'd join Mayfield in L.A., per the Cleveland Plain Dealer, so he could be part of the crew down the road.
