The Philadelphia Eagles are hoping to haveAlshon Jeffery back on the field this week.
Coach Doug Pederson told reporters he's "hoping" the wideout will play on Thursday against the Green Bay Packers.
Jeffery left Week 2's game with a calf injury and missed practice all last week.
The Eagles listed him as limited in practice today, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported. There wasn't a practice so it's basically a projection, he added.
Cornerback Ronald Darby, who injured his hamstring on Sunday, is expected to miss some time following his MRI, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source informed. He'll likely miss a few games, Rapoport added.
Here are other injuries we're tracking on Monday:
- The Chicago Bears have announced the following inactives for Monday night's game: DB Kevin Toliver II, DB Sherrick McManis, RB Kerrith Whyte Jr., LB Josh Woods, OL Bobby Massie, W Riley Ridley and DL Bilal Nichols.
Massie is dealing with vertigo, Garafolo reported, per sources informed. It's unclear when it popped up today, Garafolo added.
Kicker Eddy Pineiro, who was questionable with a knee injury, is slated to play.
The Washington Redskins have announced the following inactives for Monday night's game: QB Colt McCoy, CB Quinton Dunbar, LB Cassanova McKinzy, C Ross Pierschbacher, G Wes Martin, DL T.Y. McGill and TE Jordan Reed.
- New York Jets coach Adam Gase said quarterback Sam Darnold (mono) has not been medically cleared yet but can start doing cardio. Darnold went through tests Monday and will undergo further testing, per Gase. The QB said per the team's site that the next step is for his spleen enlargement to go down. He's seen progress but it's not quite where it needs to be. Darnold will visit with doctors next Monday.
Linebacker C.J. Mosley (groin), defensive lineman Quinnen Williams (ankle) and receiver Demaryius Thomas (hamstring/knee) are all trending in the right direction for the Eagles game, added Gase.
- Indianapolis Colts safety Malik Hooker is set to undergo surgery Tuesday to trim his meniscus and likely will miss four to six weeks, Rapoport reported. Coach Frank Reich told reporters during a conference call Monday that Hooker will "miss a little bit of time" but it does not appear he will be placed on injured reserve at this time.
- Denver Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe is suspected to have a high ankle sprain, Rapoport reported, per a source informed. He's getting an MRI to confirm. Wolfe was carted off the field during their loss to the Packers on Sunday.
- Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Harrison Phillips, a key part of their depth on defense, suffered an ACL tear and is out for the rest of the 2019 season, the team announced Monday.
- New York Giants running backSaquon Barkleywill be out 4 to 6 weeks because of a high ankle sprain, per Rapoport. Giants coach Pat Shurmur confirmed Barkley's injury but did not specify a timeline.
- Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton (foot) has been ruled out for Week 4's game against the Texans. Kyle Allen will start at QB again.
- The Atlanta Falcons' worst fears for safetyKeanu Neal were confirmed: He suffered a torn Achilles in Sunday's loss to the Colts and will be out for the remainder of the season, Rapoport reported.
- Cincinnati Bengals coach Zac Taylor said wideout A.J. Green will not play against the Steelers Monday Night and doesn't expect him to practice this week. Taylor added that Green is turning in the right direction and progressing.
- New England Patriots fullback James Develin has been placed on IR with a neck injury, the team confirmed.
- San Francisco 49ers long snapper Jon Condo has retired from the NFL, the team announced. An undrafted prospect in 2005, Condo, 38, appeared in 181 career games during his 14-year career and is a two-time Pro Bowl selection.
Kyle Shanahan announced that RB Tevin Coleman (ankle) has a good chance to be back next week. He has been inactive for the last two games after getting injured against the Bucs in Week 1. Shanahan also noted that CB Ahkello Witherspoon has a foot sprain is expected to miss at least a month.
- The Seattle Seahawks have released LB Jachai Polite from the practice squad. Polite was originally drafted in the third round by the Jets but was cut on Aug. 31. He signed with the Seahawks on Sept. 2.
Pete Carroll said the team hopes to have Rashaad Penny (hamstring) back at practice Thursday. He was inactive in Week 3. Carroll also mentioned that tackle Duane Brown has "a little bit of a strain" in his bicep and will be limited during the week but is expected to play in Week 4.
