'Game of Thrones' 2015 NFL Draft scouting report
As I close in on finishing my 500th 2015 NFL Draft profile, I realize that I'm constantly evaluating -- even when not watching game tape. At one of my sons' youth sports events the involuntary evaluation process begins in my mind: "Slow feet with difficulty changing direction. Anticipates well, but can't always respond to what he's seeing quickly enough. Questions persist about whether he is coachable. Motor never stops. Loves postgame snacks."
Shopping for groceries it starts up again -- "Space-eater. Hard to move. Can be lethargic and struggles to finish."
With that said, I focus the unending stream of NFL draft evaluation terminology toward "Game of Thrones" characters.
Please keep in mind that all evaluations are based off of fictional characters and that I attempted to find very general matches with player comparisons. The concerns for "Game of Thrones" characters are not meant as character concerns for the players they are compared to.

Shows strong leadership characteristics. Decisive and explosive. Has a nose for the end zone from anywhere on the field. Plays bigger than her size. Willing to go over the middle (of a desert) and has lead team to major road wins as a big underdog. Takes The Game seriously and will continue to work on it on the next level. Fluid hips with angular, smallish frame. Looks the part in uniform. Durable leader able to inspire. Growing concern in scouting circles about growing sense of entitlement. Background checks need to be done on those she hangs out with (dragons, unsullied)
Round Projection: First or second rounds
Draft comparison: Ameer Abdullah, RB, Nebraska

Draft stock could be hurt by smallish stature and lack of physicality. Short, but well-built possessing stout lower body. Unable to generate power at the point of attack, but few utilize leverage as well as Tyrion Lannister. He shows limited athleticism and average talent, but has elite awareness and instincts. Quick to process and retain information. Has been arrested, but insiders say the charges were bogus and do not reflect a character concern. He possesses the intangibles that teams will love, but physical limitations and an inability to finish with consistency will make him a Day 3 selection.
Round projection: Fourth or fifth rounds
Draft comparison: Reese Dismukes, C, Auburn

Had to redshirt early in his career. Despite coming from a small school in the north, Snow has played well against a strong road schedule. Dependable and loyal. Uses his hands well and shows good agility and change of direction upon contact. Willing to take chances which gets him into trouble at times, but shows recovery talent and mental toughness. Needs time in the weight room. Snow's strong leadership traits and natural ability are similar to his father's. Played most of his games on the road in adverse conditions so he's mentally tough.
Round projection: First round
Draft comparison: Shane Ray, OLB, Missouri

Highly recruited five-star prospect coming out. Possesses lean, muscular build. Displays me-first attitude. Considered arrogant and a questionable locker room guy. Severe character red flags that will take him off the board for some teams. Family issues must be monitored. Elite production early in career, but injuries (hand) have slowed him. Quick twitch athlete with ability to make very sharp cuts. Possesses tremendous skill set, but has consistently shown a lack of discipline and self-control. Nicknamed "King Slayer" due to a run-in with an upper-classman early in career. League insiders encouraged by improved maturity over senior season. Possesses massive talent, but character red flags could plague him.
Round projection: Second or third rounds
Draft comparison: Karlos Williams, RB, Florida State

Small frame with massive heart on the field. Plays with a relentless motor and chip on her shoulder. Stays after practice to improve technique and hone craft. Rises to the occasion and willing to accept challenges. Not easily intimidated and known to have a motor mouth on the field. Above average agility and quickness. Showed rapid growth with each passing season. Flashes leadership traits, but can be selfish. Was able to overcome turbulent off-field incidents to thrive. Must learn to trust teammates and become more coachable. Needs to play in space. Can be engulfed by larger competition and can be redirected by press coverage. Ascending prospect with potential to become a star on the next level despite lack of desired size.
Round projection: Third or fourth rounds
Draft comparison: Tyler Lockett, WR, Kansas State

Thin frame with small hands. Tends to play biggest against lower level of competition. Can be physically manhandled at the point of attack by better competition. Locker room lawyer. Not beloved by teammates. Selfish and won't play within framework of the scheme. Tape shows willingness to bust assignment in order to chase stats. Plays with outstanding instincts and anticipation, and is first off the snap. Can threaten the edge and shows effective use of counters. Finesse player.
Round projection: Fourth or fifth rounds
Draft comparison: None

Low-cut body type with limited athleticism, but always seems to make plays. Plays with a mean streak and competes at an extremely high level. Scans field and processes quickly, but decision-making can be erratic leading to turnovers (of power). Very serious demeanor on the field and willing to take chances. Not the physical specimen that others are in this draft, but consistency of production is rarely matched. Has had a slew of off-the-field issues and often brings personal issues on the field. Anonymous scout ripped her for "complete lack of trustworthiness". Age is a concern as ceiling might be maxed out.
Round projection: Third or fourth rounds
NFL comparison: Steve Smith, WR, Ravens

Well-proportioned frame with deceiving power through his upper body. Able to play multiple positions offering scheme versatility and roster flexibility. Labeled as arrogant, but also a coach on the field. Has talent to stack and shed (attackers of the castle). Uses violent, quick hands to gain upper hand and is able to see through the man in front of him while stringing moves together. Four-year starter and captain.
Updated Medical reject at combine due to crossbow injury.
Round Projection: Undraftable
