I originally included Rodgers for Charles Sims owners in panic-mode over his injury status heading into Monday night. But now that Sims is on IR Rodgers and rookie Peyton Barber become worthy of our fantasy attention. Rodgers should see plenty of work against the Panthers on Monday Night Football, but Doug Martin is eyeing a Week 7 return (Tampa Bay has a bye Week 6), which will make Rodgers' fantasy value kaput ... aside from being a handcuff. If you pick Rodgers up this week, he could be worth a stash. Martin doesn't have the cleanest injury history, and his ailment in 2016 (hamstring) could easily flare up again. FAAB Suggestion: 10-15 percent.

The running back cupboard is getting pretty barren and we're only five weeks into the season. This means we need to try and play the matchups/potential game scripts with committee backs. If Jonathan Stewart remains out for a Week 6 date with the New Orleans Saints, I could see these two teams trading blows in the passing game early and often, which sets up favorably for Whittaker. Heading into Week 4, Whittaker's 18 receptions were tied for third among running backs. The Saints allow on average seven receptions and 61.25 receiving yards to running backs per game. Those in need of a safe-ish floor or a solid PPR running back should grab Whittaker this week off waivers. FAAB Suggestion: 0-5 percent owned.

Last week, Adam Gase admitted his four-headed running back attack wasn't working, and he stood by his word to change it as he deployed Ajayi as a pseudo-featured back against the Titans. Ajayi led the way with roughly 64 percent of the backfield opportunities coming his way while also playing on 68 percent of the offensive snaps. Of course, adding Ajayi could be a short-lived proposition as Arian Foster will resume RB1 duties in this backfield as soon as he's healthy. However, once he is healthy there's no guarantee he stays that way, giving Ajayi added stash value. FAAB Suggestion: 0-5 percent owned.

As expected, James White's playing time and role grew with Tom Brady under center. White led the Patriots backfield in snaps with 37 (47 percent) for the first time this year, and set a new season-high with 89 total yards (26 rushing, 63 receiving). White, like LeGarrette Blount, will be a volatile play, but will be a good start whenever the Patriots play in competitive games, which is what they could face next week when Cincinnati comes to town. With Brady back expect White's fantasy outlook to trend in a positive direction as the season wears on. He's worth an add this week, with added value in PPR formats. FAAB Suggestion: 0-5 percent.

After an extremely quiet first two weeks of the season, Powell has emerged as the fantasy-relevant role player we expected this offseason. He has played 41-plus percent of the snaps in three consecutive weeks now, and averages 10 touches per game in that span. Matt Forte is dealing with injuries currently as well, and were he to go down Powell would be a fringe-RB1. As it stands, Powell is a weekly flex play with a reliable floor. The Jets play the Cardinals in Week 6, and if Carson Palmer (concussion) returns and carves up the Jets suspect secondary, Powell could see a lot of work. FAAB Suggestion: 10-15 percent.

With Latavius Murray sidelined with a toe injury, Washington and Richard split touches evenly with 14 apiece, though Richard was far more efficient with his amassing 97 total yards versus 52 for Washington. The team has been de-emphasizing Murray all season, giving equal shares to Washington and Richard each week, meaning both should be added. I'd prioritize Washington a hair over Richard, but there's no clear winner in this backfield yet. Both make for good bench stashes, though, in the event that either begins to pull away from the pack. FAAB Suggestion: 0-5 percent.

With Shane Vereen on IR and Rashad Jennings still working his way back from injury, both Darkwa and Rainey merit consideration on the waiver-wire this week. Don't let their numbers against the Packers skew things here, as Green Bay proved again on Sunday night they're one of the league's best run defenses. Unfortunately, things don't get easier next week when the Ravens come to MetLife Stadium. Darkwa should be the add in standard formats for his touchdown potential, while Rainey's role in the passing game makes him the target for those in PPR formats. FAAB suggestion: 0-5 percent.

In the four games since Keenan Allen was lost for the season, Williams has totaled 21.3 percent of Philip Rivers' passing targets. Rivers has spread the ball around pretty evenly between Williams, Travis Benjamin, and Dontrelle Inman, though, so don't expect Williams to post WR1 numbers every week. However, his game-breaking speed sets him up for a difference-making fantasy stat line each week, as evidenced by his 117 receiving yards in Week 5 against the Raiders. As part of a three-headed wide receiving attack for the Chargers, Williams needs to be owned in more leagues. He faces the Broncos on Thursday night in Week 6, though, so he'll be a tough start right off the wire. FAAB suggestion: 5-10 percent.

The writing was on the wall for Coates to have a big game against the Jets, and those who read it were richly rewarded. Pending a Monday-night statistical explosion, he'll finish as Week 5's top scoring wide receiver thanks to 139 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Of course, Coates cannot sustain this play every week ... or even in the same game, as he dropped several passes against the Jets (including a third touchdown). Nevertheless, the way teams scheme against the Steelers is to stop Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell, meaning Coates will continue to see favorable matchups. He's a boom-or-bust play, but his ceiling is worth chasing with the Steelers offense heating up. Coates has caught a 40-plus yard reception in each game so far this year and faces a Dolphins defense that has allowed 871 yards to opposing receivers. FAAB suggestion: 10-15 percent.

Believe it or not, Kerley is the No. 1 wide receiver for the 49ers and a player who should be added in fantasy. While the 49ers passing offense isn't striking fear into the hearts of opponents, Kerley's 30 percent share of the targets cannot be ignored. He's posted stat lines of 6-88-1 and 8-102-1 in the last two weeks. It'll be worth monitoring if Kerley's target share changes if Colin Kaepernick gets the start, but for now he looks like a solid flex play at least. He faces the Buffalo Bills next week. FAAB suggestion: 5-10 percent.

As hard as it might be to stomach after his disastrous 2015 campaign, Davante Adams is once again a thing in fantasy. He's caught a touchdown in three of four games thus far, and appears to be gaining the trust of Aaron Rodgers. Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb are still the top targets in the Green Bay passing attack, but Adams' nose for the end zone and frequent matchups against lesser cornerbacks will give him low-end flex appeal moving forward. FAAB suggestion: 5-10 percent.

After one week with Tom Brady under center, it seems the Patriots might have Chris Hogan ticketed for a role as the deep threat. Per Next Gen Stats, he led the team in distance traveled per play with 36.27 yards, and averaged 28.5 yards per reception thanks to catches of 43 and 63 yards. Even though his production will likely be volatile with so many mouths to feed in New England, Hogan is attached to an extremely productive passing attack and deserves some attention on the wire this week. FAAB suggestion: 0-5 percent.

As long as Dez Bryant is out of the lineup, Williams remains a viable option in fantasy. He's averaged five targets and over four receptions per game the last three week, and during that span has had either 70-plus receiving yards or scored a touchdown. Next up for Williams is a date with the Packers' banged up secondary, giving him low-end flex appeal for Week 6. FAAB suggestion: 0-5 percent.

While Antonio Gates returned to action and soaked up five targets, Henry played on 23 more snaps than the veteran and amassed 74 yards and a touchdown on four targets of his own. Henry is displaying a great rapport with Rivers after just five games, and has the look of a difference maker in this offense not just after Gates retires, but for the rest of the season. The Chargers do have a tough matchup with the Broncos on deck, but with his size and speed Henry could be a handful for the Denver linebackers. Regardless, he needs to be added in more leagues. FAAB suggestion: 10-15 percent.

Tight end remains a bit of a fantasy wasteland, but here's a look to the future. Green is targeting a Week 7 return to action for the Steelers (remember, he's currently on the physically unable to perform list). If you have the space on your bench to stash Green for a few weeks, it'd be worth getting ahead of the curve and picking him up now. Green could start getting a lot more fantasy attention as his return draws nearer. FAAB suggestion: 0-5 percent.

Mariota is still available in a fair amount of leagues and draws a fantastic fantasy matchup next week when the Browns travel to Tennessee. Cleveland averages 288.4 passing yards allowed per game thus far, and has conceded 13 passing touchdowns. Mariota is coming off his best fantasy game of the year after picking apart the Dolphins porous secondary. Mariota is an excellent streaming quarterback for Week 6, and a solid play in daily formats. FAAB suggestion: 5-10 percent.

Also on the streaming radar this week is Alex Smith. The thought of starting Smith might leave a bad taste in fantasy owners mouths after the Chiefs got whooped by the Steelers in Week 4. However, the discrepancy on the scoreboard doesn't matter for fantasy, as Smith compiled enough garbage time stats to finish as the QB11 that week. Looking ahead to Week 6, he gets to come off his bye and face a secondary that is just bleeding yards and touchdowns to opposing passers. The Raiders allow a 64.9 completion percentage to go along with a league-worst 330.6 yards per game. Their offense should be able to put up points against the Chiefs, setting up Smith for a pass-heavy game script as well. FAAB suggestion: 0-5 percent.
