Super Bowl II - January 14, 1968. Green Bay, after winning its third consecutive NFL championship, won the Super Bowl title for the second straight year, defeating the AFL champion Oakland Raiders in a game that drew the first $3-million gate in football history. Super Bowl III - January 12, 1969. New York Jets quarterback Joe Namath guaranteed victory on the Thursday before the game, then went out and led the AFL to its first Super Bowl victory over a Baltimore Colts team that had lost only once in 16 games all season. New York Jets 16, Baltimore Colts 7.

Super Bowl IV - January 11, 1970. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Len Dawson was named the MVP of the game against the Minnesota Vikings, completing 12 of 17 passes and hitting Otis Taylor on a 46-yard play for the final Chiefs touchdown. Super Bowl V - January 17, 1971. The Baltimore Colts defeated the Dallas Cowboys in the final five seconds of the game with a 32-yard field goal by rookie kicker Jim O'Brien. Baltimore Colts 16, Dallas Cowboys 13.

Super Bowl XII - January 15, 1978. After an exchange of punts, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Butch Johnson made a spectacular diving catch in the end zone to complete a 45-yard pass from Roger Staubach. Super Bowl XIV - January 20, 1980. Super Bowl XV - January 25, 1981. Super Bowl XVII - January 30, 1983. Washington Redskins fullback John Riggins ran for a Super Bowl-record 166 yards on 38 carries to spark Washington to a victory over the AFC champion Miami Dolphins. Super Bowl XX - January 26, 1986. The NFC champion Chicago Bears, seeking their first NFL title since 1963, scored a Super Bowl-record 46 points in downing the AFC champion New England Patriots. Super Bowl XXII - January 31, 1988. Washington Redskins quarterback Doug Williams made NFL history as the first African-American quarterback to start a Super Bowl. Super Bowl XXV - January 27, 1991. The NFC champion New York Giants won their second Super Bowl in five years over the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo kicker Scott Norwood missed the field goal on the last play of the game, clinching the victory for the Giants. New York Giants 20, Buffalo Bills 19.

Super Bowl XXVI - January 26, 1992. The Washington Redskins overwhelmed the Buffalo Bills to win their third Super Bowl in 10 years. Washington's Joe Gibbs became only the third head coach to win three Super Bowls. Washington Redskins 37, Buffalo Bills 24.

Super Bowl XXXI - January 26, 1997. Green Bay Packers wide receiver Desmond Howard returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown, while quarterback Brett Favre passed for two touchdowns and ran for a score as the Packers won their first Super Bowl in twenty-nine years over the New England Patriots. Super Bowl XXXV - January 28, 2001. The Baltimore Ravens' defense completed a dominating season by permitting just 152 yards, forcing 5 turnovers, recording 4 sacks, and not allowing an offensive touchdown en route to the franchise's first Super Bowl victory over the New York Giants. Super Bowl XXXVI - February 3, 2002. The New England Patriots earned their first Super Bowl title with a victory over the St. Louis Rams. The Rams outgained the Patriots 427-267 in total yards, but the Patriots forced three turnovers, which resulted in 17 points, while committing no turnovers. New England Patriots 20, St. Louis Rams 17.

Super Bowl XXXVIII - February 1, 2004. New England Patriots kicker Adam Vinatieri kicked a 41-yard field goal with four seconds remaining as the Patriots won their second Super Bowl in three seasons with a victory over the Carolina Panthers. New England Patriots 32, Carolina Panthers 29.

Super Bowl XLI - February 4, 2007. During the first rainy Super Bowl between the Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Bears, he first half was marred by six turnovers, three for each team. Super Bowl XLII - February 3, 2008.

Super Bowl XLIII - February 1, 2009. Right before halftime, Pittsburgh Steelers' James Harrison intercepted a pass on the goal line from Kurt Warner and ran to the opposite end zone to score a touchdown as time expired for a pick-6. It was the second straight year that a Super Bowl was decided by a catch in the corner of the end zone, this time with Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes catching the game winning touchdown to defeat the Arizona Cardinals. It was the Cardinals' first Super Bowl ever and first championship game of any kind since 1948. Pittsburgh Steelers 27, Arizona Cardinals 23.

Super Bowl XLIV - February 7, 2010. "We became America's team. I remember once the stadium packed out, no joke, it was probably 70/30 for the Saints. Maybe more. It was all gold and black, and the "Who Dat?" chant was going. Coach Payton came in at halftime and said we're going to do the onside kick to open the second half. I just remember thinking, Man, coach is in it to win this thing. We knew Sean was all in. I think he is one of the best offensive minds to ever coach this game. I remember the defensive guys in the second half saying, "Peyton (Manning)'s going to give us one." And then obviously, Tracy Porter picked off Manning and took one to the house." - Heath Evans. Super Bowl XLV - February 6, 2011. Aaron Rodgers, who threw for 304 yards and three touchdowns in earning Super Bowl XLV MVP honors as the Packers, claimed the fourth Lombardi Trophy in team history. Super Bowl XLVII - February 3, 2013. For the first time in Super Bowl history, two brothers were coaching against each other - Jim and John Harbaugh. The Baltimore Ravens held 28-6 lead early in the third quarter when the power went out for 34 minutes. When the power came back, so did San Francisco. The 49ers cut the Ravens' lead to 28-23, but San Francisco's late fourth quarter rally fell short on the controversial play where wide receiver Michael Crabtree could not catch a fourth down pass where no penalty was called. Super Bowl XLVIII - February 2, 2014. The Seattle Seahawks defense recorded a safety on the first play from scrimmage over the Denver Broncos starting the rout. The score was 36-0 before the Broncos scored their first points late in the third quarter. The Seahawks record four turnovers in their 43-8 Super Bowl victory in MetLife Stadium. Seattle Seahawks 43, Denver Broncos 8.

Super Bowl XLIX - February 1, 2015. The Seattle Seahawks and the Legion of Boom went into the game as reigning Super Bowl champions. The Seahawks held a 24-14 lead before the New England Patriots charged back. In the closing minute, the Seahawks were on the 1-yard line poised to score the winning touchdown. Quarterback Russel Wilson threw a pass and was intercepted by Malcolm Butler to seal the win for the Patriots. New England Patriots 28, Seattle Seahawks 24.

Super Bowl 50 - February 7, 2016. Cam Newton, the MVP of the 2015 season, and the Carolina Panthers were no match for Von Miller and the Denver Broncos defense in the 50th iteration of the Super Bowl. The Broncos recorded six sacks including a forced fumble by Miller that led to a touchdown. Peyton Manning played his final NFL game, capping his career with a Super Bowl ring. Super Bowl LI - February 5, 2017. The New England Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons in one of the most exciting Super Bowls in history. The Falcons led the Patriots 28-3 late in the third quarter when Tom Brady and the Patriots went on to score 25 unanswered points highlighted by a catch made by Julian Edelman. The Patriots tied the game in the final minute of regulation which led to the first overtime in Super Bowl history. The Patriots would drive for a touchdown in the opening possession to win. Super Bowl LII - February 4, 2018. Backup quarterback Nick Foles led the Philadelphia Eagles to their first Super Bowl championship after recording 374 passing yards and scoring a touchdown on the infamous "Philly Special" play. Tom Brady threw for a Super Bowl-record 505 yards. Philadelphia Eagles 41, New England Patriots 33.

Super Bowl LIII - February 3, 2019. The Los Angeles Rams had one of the best offenses of the league all year long, but Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots held the Rams to zero plays in the red zone. A pass from Tom Brady to Rob Gronkowski led to the sole touchdown of the game on the following play. New England Patriots 13, Los Angeles Rams 3.

Super Bowl LIV - February 2, 2020. The Kansas City Chiefs and 2018 MVP Patrick Mahomes came into Super Bowl 54 after two comeback victories in the Divisional and Championship rounds. That stayed true for Super Bowl 54 against the San Francisco 49ers, as the Chiefs rallied in the fourth quarter overcoming a 20-10 deficit to defeat the 49ers for their first Super Bowl championship in 50 years.
