Richard Sherman
Richard Sherman is a three-time All-Pro cornerback who was once one of the NFL’s biggest trash talkers. He led the league in interceptions in 2013, a season in which his then-team, the Seahawks, won the Super Bowl. A native of Compton, Calif. who played at Stanford, Sherman was overlooked out of college – he was selected in the fifth round of the 2011 Draft – which has motivated him throughout his career. Sherman, who is 6-foot-3 with long dreadlocks, has irritated many opponents with his words – on the field, in interviews, and on Twitter. The most famous instance of such behavior occurred immediately following Seattle’s win over the 49ers in the 2013 NFC Championship game, in which Sherman made a key fourth quarter play against receiver Michael Crabtree. “I’m the best corner in the game!” Sherman screamed during an interview with Erin Andrews. “When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that’s the result you’re gonna get!” In 2018, Sherman signed with the 49ers.
