Linebacker
James Harrison
"He's just like a hard nosed pit bull." - Ryan Shazier
James Harrison went from being a college walk-on and an undrafted rookie to a five-time Pro Bowler who in 2008 was a Super Bowl hero and the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year. A 6-foot, 242-pound linebacker from Akron, Ohio, Harrison played a majority of his 15 years with the Steelers, whom he helped to win a pair of Super Bowls. His 100-yard interception return for a touchdown off a Kurt Warner pass in Super Bowl XLIII was among the most exciting plays in Super Bowl history. A notorious power lifter whose exploits in the weight room have wowed his fellow players and been plastered all over social media, Harrison retired from the NFL, at age 39, as the Steelers’ all-time sack leader.
