Jim Brown

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
Jim Brown was a dominant running back for the Cleveland Browns in the 1950s and 60s who has been anointed by many as the greatest football player of all time. In his all-too-brief nine-year career, Brown led the league in rushing yards a NFL-record eight times. He was a three-time league MVP, an eight-time First Team All-Pro, and made the Pro Bowl in each season of his career. A Georgia native who played collegiately at Syracuse, the 6-foot-2, 232-pound Brown was selected sixth overall in the 1957 Draft and was named Offensive Rookie of the Year. He led the Browns to an NFL title in 1964, one year before he surprisingly retired, at the age of 30.
