Oakland Raiders

"It was our year. Our trainers were right. Our doctors were right. Our coaches were right. Our cheerleaders were right. Everything was right." - Phil Villapiano

The Al-Davis-owned Oakland Raiders won their first Super Bowl in 1976 with a 13-1 regular season record. Employing a vertical passing attack, the Raiders’ offense was managed by their lefty QB Ken Stabler. The Hall of Famer had a career year, leading the NFL in passing TDs (27), completion percentage (66.7), and passer rating (103.4). Stabler was aided by Pro Bowl seasons from Hall of Fame offensive linemen Art Shell and Gene Upshaw, and the receiving tandem of Hall of Fame tight end Dave Casper (10 TD catches) and All-Pro wideout Cliff Branch (1,111 receiving yards, league-best 12 TDs). In the playoffs, the Raiders avenged their season’s only loss by beating the Patriots, 24-21. From there it was easy: they beat the Steelers, 24-7 to win the AFC Championship, and defeated the Vikings, who had an 11-2-1 record, in Super Bowl XI by a score of 32-14.

Larry the Cable Guy is a stand-up comedian and actor who has starred in the TV shows “Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy” and “Bounty Hunters.” He has also appeared in movies such as “A Madea Christmas” and was the voice of Mader in the animated films Cars and Cars 2. Raised on a Nebraska farm, Larry the Cable Guy is a Packer fan because his wife grew up on a cattle ranch in Northern Wisconsin. Another reason is that in 2003, he saw Brett Favre on TV wearing a Larry the Cable Guy shirt that said “Get ‘er Done,” which is the comedian’s trademark line. “You’ve gotta be kidding me!” he excitedly said. “I’m a Packer fan now!”
