Baltimore Ravens

"That team did it in the greatest possible way." - John Harbaugh

The 2012 Ravens entered the playoffs as the #4 seed in the AFC and captured Super Bowl XLVII thanks to a magical postseason run. After starting the season 9-2 and in position for a 1st round bye, the Ravens lost four of their final five games and narrowly won the AFC North. Baltimore re-grouped to defeat the Colts 24-9 in the Wild Card round and beat the Broncos in a 38-35 double-overtime thriller that became known as the “Mile High Miracle.” Riding that momentum, the Ravens defeated the Patriots, 28-13, in New England to win the AFC Championship. In the Super Bowl, Flacco threw for 287 yards and 3 TDs as Baltimore defeated San Francisco, 34-31. Flacco was the star of the 2012 postseason, finishing with 11 passing touchdowns and 0 interceptions in 4 playoff games. Ed Reed won his only Super Bowl, and Ray Lewis retired after winning second Super Bowl title.
