2011 Pro Bowl tickets on sale

NFL's all-stars return to Hawaii

Aloha! The NFL's best players will return to Hawaii for the 2011 Pro Bowl and fans can join them.

Tickets to the 2011 Pro Bowl, slated for Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, will go on sale Monday through Ticketmaster, the NFL announced Thursday. Fans also may call 1-800-745-3000 or visit the Aloha Stadium box office in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The 2011 Pro Bowl will be played at Aloha Stadium and will be televised live nationally on FOX at 7 p.m. (ET). The Pro Bowl again will precede the Super Bowl, which will be played in North Texas the following Sunday, Feb. 6, also televised by FOX.

Fans also may purchase Pro Bowl packages including game and event tickets now through NFL On Location, the NFL's official source for event experiences and hospitality. Fans may visit www.nflonlocation.com to book their packages.

The Pro Bowl's return to Hawaii, where it had been held consecutively from 1980 to 2009, is part of a two-year agreement between the NFL and the state of Hawaii to play the 2011 and 2012 games there.

The decision to play the NFL's All-Star Game the week before the Super Bowl for the second consecutive year follows a significant increase in viewership for the 2010 Pro Bowl, the first Pro Bowl to precede the Super Bowl.

Fans may vote for the players they want to see at the Pro Bowl. 2011 Pro Bowl voting will continue online and on web-enabled mobile phones by going to NFL.com/probowl through Monday, Dec. 20. For the first time, fans may vote on Facebook by visiting facebook.com/nfl and clicking on the "Pro Bowl" tab. NFL players and coaches will cast their votes on Dec. 22-23.

The teams will be announced at 7 p.m. (ET) Tuesday, Dec. 28 on a special NFL Total Access 2011 Pro Bowl Selection Show on NFL Network.

The AFC and NFC All-Star squads are based on the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. Each group's vote counts one-third toward determining the 43-man rosters that represent the American Football Conference and National Football Conference in the Pro Bowl.
