Aaron Maybin has reached the end of a curious football road.
The Toronto Argonauts announced Tuesday that Mabyin has retired. The 26-year-old linebacker had been playing in the CFL following NFL stops with the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals.
Maybin was unable to build on that momentum, however, and was released by New York eight games into the 2012 season. He caught on with the Bengals last summer, but was released during training camp.
Fans of the HBO series "Hard Knocks" might remember Maybin as the burgeoning painter known to toil away in an impossibly large studio apartment in downtown Cincinnati. If Maybin saved his money, that passion could become a second career.
