Green Bay Packers fans hoping Aaron Rodgers will return from a fractured collarbone for this week's game against the Dallas Cowboys received disheartening news Monday.
Coach Mike McCarthy revealed that Rodgers still is not cleared for game action. The plan is to work him out Tuesday and evaluate him Wednesday morning.
At this point, McCarthy is planning for Matt Flynn to start again because Rodgers still has "hurdles to get over."
That plan will be adjusted if Rodgers finally gains clearance from the team doctor Wednesday.
Rodgers isn't the only key player up in the air for Week 15. McCarthy said Eddie Lacy sustained a sprained ankle in Sunday's win. It's "too early to tell" if the rookie running back will be available for the Cowboys game.
Wide receiver Randall Cobb, out since mid-October with a fractured fibula, worked out Monday. Like Rodgers, he's still not cleared for game action. Cobb is eligible to return to the Packers this Sunday.
